Ragam 08

Even before joining nitc, Ragam was heard about by most of us.Supposed to be among the biggest culfests in India, it didnt quite live upto expectations.Less than 20 colleges came, making Ragam comparable to La Fest, the inter-school competition hosted by loyola each year:|.

As usual, our college participated and won most of the major events. But due to some strange reason(:|), we didnt list ourselves atop the leading colleges list, instead we only published the 'leading external colleges' list, leaving it plain obvious to the outsider that we expected to win in the 1st place. The sole reason why we participated of course, was to make up for the budget. In addition, each student was also required to pay a modest sum to contribute to the budget.

There were too many events going on together and noone really knew who won which event. If the winner wasnt nitc, it was pretty difficult to find out.

Anyhow, it was pretty nice from the perspective of an average mouthwatcher:|... also, got to meet a few loyola dudes and went about roaming with them for the 3 days. All in all, very fun! tho not as fun as it was expected to be.

Back after a break

The farewell went very well.. met lots of friends... n stuff.A couple of memorable performances ... a song by cinoey and a kavitha(poem) in malayalam by hari, in particular, stole the show. But I was a bit tense coz Id to leave by 9pm and the schedule was a bit tight. In the end Id to rush my dinner before I ran out of Muthoot Plaza, into a waiting car, dad in the driver's seat.

The journey back was a bit strange.I felt like writing a poem, but its quite difficult to write a poem in a moving bus, especially if u dont have a pen.Anyway the poem flowed smoothly in my mind, memories of the party which just finished remaining fresh.

This is of course a verry belated post, but the memory of the event does, and I am sure will, remain as fresh as it did on that wonderful night.
